Odor problem solved with oxygenation in Nynäshamn
Svandammen had turned green and murky, with dead fish and an intense odor across the park. Two aeration systems brought the pond back to life.
The customer's challenge
Residents around Svandammsparken in Nynäshamn had noticed an intense foul smell. The water in the pond appeared greenish and murky, several dead fish floated on the surface, and algae had accumulated along the edges — classic signs of eutrophication and oxygen depletion.
The solution
Two aeration systems from Eden Aquatech were installed to oxygenate the water. The unpleasant odor that previously spread from Svandammen was mitigated, and the municipality has planned additional measures to further increase oxygen levels and improve the pond's environment.
