Stormwater treatment
Rain and meltwater running off roofs, streets and industrial areas carries pollutants with it. We treat urban stormwater before it reaches lakes, rivers and the sea.
Stormwater is rainwater and meltwater that flows over surfaces such as roofs, streets, parking lots and park areas after rainfall. On its way, it picks up whatever those surfaces hold — oil residues, metals, nutrients and de-icing agents.
Stormwater from densely populated and industrial areas is therefore often polluted, and must be treated before it is discharged into the stormwater system, seas, lakes or waterways.
Treatment adapted to the site
Eden Aquatech designs stormwater solutions around the specific runoff and pollution profile of each site — combining aeration, controlled flow paths with floating walls, and biological treatment. At Arlanda Airport, our aerators and barrier walls create aerobic and anaerobic zones that treat de-icing agents in the stormwater before it reaches the nearby lake.
