Flotation

Microbubbles lift particles and flocs to the surface, where they are scraped off — leaving a purified water phase and a thick, manageable sludge.

Flotation is an advanced technique for removing suspended particles and contaminants: microbubbles lift unwanted material to the surface, where a rotating scraper removes it as sludge. The result is a clear separation between a purified water phase and a thick sludge.

By optimizing the air supply, the process is tailored to the specific conditions and contamination type — making flotation a flexible solution for both industrial and municipal treatment systems. It is also a key stage in our PFAS treatment, where flocculation binds PFAS compounds to flocs that the flotation system then removes.

The robust construction ensures a long lifespan and low operational costs, while the energy efficiency makes it a sustainable alternative across applications.

Advantages

  • High separation efficiency

A clear boundary between sludge and treated water improves the purification rate, reduces post-treatment needs and increases resource recovery.

  • Low chemical use, less sludge

Minimal chemical additives reduce both operating costs and environmental impact, while sludge volumes stay low.

  • Flexible and energy-efficient

Adapts to different water conditions and contamination types — low energy consumption makes it a sustainable, cost-effective investment.
