PFAS treatment
Per- and polyfluorinated substances are toxic and extremely persistent. We combine flocculation and flotation to capture PFAS where conventional treatment falls short — with reductions of up to 99.5%.
PFAS is becoming increasingly common and can be found in all types of water environments — groundwater, leachate and water from other exposed areas. The compounds are extremely stable, break down very slowly in nature, and accumulate in soil, water and organisms. Meeting today's limit values is a significant challenge, and purifying water from PFAS requires advanced treatment processes.
With our methods we achieve a reduction of up to 99.5%, depending on the water's composition and the scale of the treatment system. Our analysis results show high removal rates for both PFAS 4 and PFAS 22.

How the treatment works

The untreated water is fed through a reactor tank with three chambers. In the first chamber, aluminum sulfate is added while stirring, forming microflocs from the suspended particles. In the second chamber, a flocculant binds the PFAS compounds to the microflocs. In the third, a polymer aggregates the microflocs into larger flocs.

After flocculation, the water enters the flotation system, where microbubbles lift the sludge flocs to the surface. A rotating scraper removes the flocs as sludge, and the purified water is released.

The wet sludge is dewatered in a screw press, which squeezes out the water and returns it to the inlet. The dewatered sludge leaves the press at a fraction of its original volume — significantly lowering handling and operating costs.

Complete container solutions
We deliver complete treatment systems as container solutions, making it easy to establish a facility where constructing a permanent building is not feasible. All our facilities come with network connectivity for remote monitoring, and are designed and built in our own production workshop.
